today is kind of really bizarre.
the day started quite good actually because i was really well rested due to the my two days off. we had some sched changes in our office. we don’t have work during saturdays but instead will have 10-hour office work (including 1 hour break) mondays through fridays.
it’s actually quite ok, as i can have some sleep during saturdays and then maybe go out in the afternoon or in the evening, i can do my chores sunday morning and sleep in the afternoon and then go to church and have dinner out. and then monday, i can actually spend it just relaxing or some shopping.
today though i just stayed home and played with my cute doggies. they’re actually quite “big” right now. chad is a medium-sized japanese spits while tappy tap is a mixture of japanese spitz, terrier and maltese which makes him quite small, less than half the size of chad. they’re both developed their own characters. chad is always exuberant while tappy looks almost always sleepy. tappy is really the on’es whose ksp and always looking for attention and waggling his tail, so most people really likes him. but i try to treat both of them equally. i’m actually more inclined to give chad a little bit more attention because he has been with us since only about 6 weeks old (he’s now 5 months). thank god they’re in perfect health.
some bad news. i was actually kind of happy to receive a text from sharleen only to read it. very bad news. our chemistry teacher from high school died last saturday. it’s really kind of heart-wrenching and unbelievable coz i never expected it. maam nallas is actually quite young, and she’s actually celebrating her 48th birthday today (that’s feb. 26). i’ve read this “theory” somewhere that most people die wihtin days or near their birthdate, but that’s another story for me to tell another time. we first planned to go visit on wed but later sha texted that our high school is sponsoring a mass and having a vigil today. so we just agreed to go today.
very weird coz i have to admit that i never really looked at a corpse before. i mean i’ve been to several funerals (including my grandma) but i never dared to see them lying in their coffin. but today i did. it’s not really that bad, but i have to admit that it might take a few days to get the image out of my head. very sad huh? seen most of our high school teachers although they were a lot of unfamiliar faces now.
the good thing though is that me and sha got to talk, coz we really havent talked since new year and that quite a long time, considering we’re working in the same company. on side thought, am i actually inclined to end up like my mother? who ended up working in the same comapny with her bestfriend (up until now). hmmm… it’s just a though.
and speaking of future’s… another classmates has tied the knot. which brings the total to hmmm…. three? four? i’m not really sure coz i’m not really that updated but as far as i know these wedding had been really kind of low profile. the recent want was just actually a civil wedding.
which makes for another thought provoking question for me. i don’t wan to really think about it so, i’m not asking it.
