If I could vote for the greatest invention of the century, I would vote for BIG bags. At least, that is how I feel right now.

I have just recently bought a bag. The bag is big, 13 inches across and 16 inches high. It has now become one of my favorite bags. It is very useful and convenient, especially when I am on the rush and have no time to organize (which often happens). I just stuff all my stuff (heh) in the bag: mug, folders, lunch bag, cellphone, wallet and anything my hands would accidentally grab.

As always, I was in a rush going to the office. I got off my usual stop and walked a few feet to the jeepney stop. I was kind of putting my big bag behind me and not really clutching it tight because I was afraid that my application forms for ATO (Air Transportation Office) would get crumpled up. I was really oblivious of my surroundings as I was concentrating on getting on the jeepney.

Little did I know that three men (thhhreeee!) were already cornering me. Two were at my sides and the other one was behind me. I was completely clueless. Not until when the jeepney driver told what happened did I realize how I came thisclose to buying a new phone and a wallet.

When I thought about it, the only thing that might have foiled the three (thhreee!) men’s efforts to possess my prized possessions was my bag. My Very Big, Stuffed-with-Stuff Bag; of which required a little more rummaging around to find things inside it. I guess their hands didn’t have time to venture through the whole contents of my bag.

This has been the 2nd incident that I came thisclose to losing stuff. The other was more funnily-frightening. But that is another story for me to tell another day.

For now, I will venture my sights to another new BIG bag. A reward for myself for being so brave!
